AMERICA | An exceptional 14-year-old girl named Celeste Jackson from Austin, Texas, has achieved an outstanding feat, earning five Division I basketball scholarships before even stepping into high school.
Currently an eighth-grader, Celeste’s extraordinary talent on the court has caught the attention of top college scouts and coaches across the United States.
Her offers include scholarships from the University of Houston, Texas State University, Prairie View A&M University, Old Dominion University, and the University of the Incarnate Word.
Division I scholarships represent the highest level of collegiate athletics sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), where elite competition, top-tier coaching, and multi-million-dollar athletic programs often serve as the gateway to professional sports like the WNBA or NBA.
Celeste' Story and How She Did It
Standing at an impressive 6 feet tall, Celeste possesses a maturity and physical prowess far beyond her years. Yet, what sets her apart most is not just her height — it’s her relentless drive, discipline, and love for the game.
Celeste’s basketball journey began only five years ago, inspired by her father, a former college basketball player. Since then, she has dominated the AAU circuit (Amateur Athletic Union), a prestigious youth basketball platform known for producing college and professional stars.
Competing in tournaments sponsored by major brands, Celeste’s performances have lit up the radar of college recruiters across the United States.
EXPLORE SCHOLARSHIPS
“What I love most is competing with my teammates, basketball is fun, and I love winning,” Celeste said.
Now heading into her freshman year at Stony Point High School, Texas, Celeste is preparing for the next chapter of her athletic and academic journey.
She plans to carefully decide which university to attend when the time comes, but for now, her focus remains on improving her game and enjoying the process.
Outside basketball, Celeste is just like any other teenager; she loves shopping, eating out, and catching up on sleep. But behind her calm personality is a girl with big dreams.
Her goal is to play at the D1 level and someday launch her own commercial real estate business. Celeste credits her parents, especially her father, for their constant support and encouragement.
