They also earned over 1.53 million dollars combined in non-need merit-based scholarships. “We were both pleasantly surprised, but also grateful to receive all the offers that we did receive,” Reagan said.

”Especially, as we’re experiencing a global pandemic. This year has been different for many students and the college application process has also been increasingly difficult,” he added.

They stated that while other kids were spending time playing games on the weekends, they spent theirs practicing reading and multiplication drills. They said they are laser-focused on the footprint they both plan to leave on the world.

“Who I am today has been shaped from the multiple people that I’ve interacted with, and learned from, and I’ve just worked alongside,” Reagan said . “It comes from our experiences as children from what our parents instilled in the value of education,” Ricardo added.

They said that even though they were used to being together since they were born, they decided to part ways for university.  Reagan was awarded the Robertson Scholarship to study at Duke University and Ricardo plans to attend Harvard University.

The Razon twins said they are both interested in taking programs that are related to Science, Technology Engineering, and Mathematics(STEM). They also hope to inspire children from underserved communities to dream big.

“I want to be somebody who brings diversity in the fields in the occupation I choose to go in, in the leadership positions I choose to seek,” Ricardo said.
