18-year-old boy graduates US high with good grades, wins $1million scholarships to 65 universities

A brilliant 18-year-old girl named Taran Richardson has earned 1 million dollars worth of scholarship offers to 65 universities and colleges in the United States.

Taran Richardson is a teen from Mississippi who graduated from Charles A. Tindley Accelerated High School in Indianapolis. He graduated with a 3.70 grade point and won the award as the second-best graduating student.

Taran earned 1 million dollars worth of scholarships to 65 out of the 70 universities and colleges he applied for across the United States. Despite being an excellent student, he was still very active with other activities as a student.

Taran was involved in community organizations like the Lions Club and Boys Scout as well as extracurricular activities like show choir. He also served as class president and member of the National Honors Society.

He also volunteered with Stop the Violence Indianapolis, constructed a social media broadcast studio, and organized a career fair as part of his capstone project to encourage his classmates to find summer jobs in an effort to turn the tide of gun violence.

Taran mentioned that he would be choosing Howard University out of all his acceptances because he felt welcomed on his first visit to the university. He added that he chose the university because it is close to NASA where he hopes to intern as an undergraduate.

Taran credited his mom and support system for helping him to make his decision and said he hopes he can one day inspire someone the way they inspired him.

“Obviously, I wouldn’t be in the situation or the place I am right now without all those people that helped me get to where I am. And I want to do the same for others,” he said.

Taran stated that he plans to study astrophysics adding that he would like to explore space and help others get there. He said he eventually hopes to find a science and technology business of his own.
