Akinseye said achieving the feat required lot of effort and focus on his end and this was put into his studies. He said his initial driving force was the fact that his parent changed his institution from a government owned to a private owned university where he paid 500,000 naira.

This boosted his morale  and he decided he was not going put the investment of his parents to waste because its their efforts to give him the best education. Akinseye further went on to say  he chose a public university at first, but his parents believed so much in private schools  saying it was the best choice because of the unstable academic year in public universities.

He stated that he is glad to be the best graduating student of the school because he made sure to maintain good grades all through his stay in the university. that this achievement is a prove that his efforts were not wasted and it serves as an encouragement for him to move to the next stage.

”I wouldn’t feel too good about it, knowing that my initial result was a perfect grade point. With this feat, I felt fulfilled and encouraged to move on,” he said.

Asides from his classroom participation, Akinseye was the president of his department. He mentioned that though he did not really have a social life in school, he made sure to build interpersonal relationships with his colleagues.

”I was not really a social person. I went from class to hostel. But as I was growing, I understood the value of relationship generally,” Akinseye said.

”Along the way, I had to be more outgoing and participated in more social activities because of the post I held, and I discovered that they were gratifying for the effort I had put in,” he  added.

Akinseye also mentioned that he acquired some entrepreneurial skills while in school such as Photography and Cinematography, Copywriting, Tutoring, Interpersonal relationship and Communication.

He encouraged students to concentrate more on their studies, build a relationship with God and avoid distractions with the mindset that education is beyond the classroom.

”No distractions. Here hardwork and God. With these, you could achieve anything you aspire to,” he said.

Akinseye said he will be focusing on how to become a chattered accountant and build his professionalism after graduation.

”My focus now is being a Chartered Accountant and after practicing I will love to go  into financial analysis, build my professionalism and  become familiar with actual company and world operations,” he said.
