22-year-old Nigerian Lady wins big at UK university, bags both degree and masters in computer science with 100% score

22 year old Hauwa Ibrahim Aminu has achieved an outstanding success as she earns first class degree from Lancaster University in Ghana and 100% master’s grade from Middlesex University in United Kingdom.

Hauwa obtained her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with first-class honors before advancing her studies in Business Information and Systems Management at Middlesex University, Mauritius, where she graduated with distinction.

Beyond academics, Hauwa showcased her innovative skills by developing two applications—ArchiScope and JupiMart—which integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology to help architects effectively communicate their designs with clients.

Speaking on her inspiration, Hauwa shared that her passion for solving problems and helping people motivated her to create the applications.

”I am someone that helps people to solve problems without even knowing that. For as long as I can remember, I have always loved the whole idea of creativity and innovation,” she said.

She mentioned that she has always loved programming and coding since she was young which was why she chose to study Computer Science for her bachelors degree.

”I chose Computer Science because of my passion for programming. I already had some knowledge about information, communication, and technology in general, so I was confident that it was something I would enjoy doing for the rest of my life, and given the trajectory of the world in technological advancement, I figured it was the right programme for me,” she said.

Her both degrees intensified her passion and helped her to develop herself in the technology field. She added that she opted for business administration for Master’s in order to acquire more knowledge on business.

”Through my academic journey, I have developed an enthusiasm for research, while persistently deepening my zeal to make life easier for people by drawing from my own experiences, and those of others around me.,” she said.

Hauwa aims to push one of her applications to markets and industries outside Nigeria, especially in the West African sub-region in few years time.

”I have studied in three different African countries and have developed networks throughout. I intend to use these networks to introduce ArchiScope to architects in Ghana very soon,” she said.

Hauwa advised aspiring entrepreneurs and women who wants to venture in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Masters) to persevere and take advantages of every opportunity that come their way.

”My one piece of advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is to not give up on their goals. It definitely gets hard sometimes, and you are allowed to take breaks or a step back when you need it. But that should still not be an excuse to give up on your dreams, no matter what anyone tells you,” Hauwa advised.

”There are so many opportunities for people out there, especially the ladies because more people are trying to get more ladies into the field so that there will be a gender balance. I would advise ladies interested in STEM to take advantage of such opportunities as they are particularly useful,” she added.

Moving ahead, Hauwa will take up employment for a few years after her National Youth Service, gain some experience, then later become an entrepreneur where she can generate employment and contribute to improving Nigeria’s economy.
