26-year-old American singer Megan Ruth Pete popularly known as Megan Thee Stallion has finally graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas, United States.
Megan who has risen to an incredible fame with her outstanding music stayed dedicated to earning a Bachelor’s degree to make her mother proud. She narrated that her mother saw her go to school before she passed and would be proud of her achievement.
“I want my big mama to be proud. She saw me going to school before she passed,” she said.
Megan graduated with a bachelor of science degree in health administration. “I’ll be graduating from my HBCU TEXAS SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY!! I want y’all to remember that you can do whatever you wanna do and be whoever you wanna be, cause look at me,” she wrote
Before earning a Bachelor’s degree, Megan had made a name for herself in the music industry, winning several Grammy nominations and two Grammys for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song.
She expressed passion for becoming a health administrator despite her global fame. “I really wanted to be an administrator over a hospital, but I knew I still wanted to be Megan Thee Stallion. I was like, ‘What can I do?” she said.
She plans to open up an assisted-living facility to encourage her fellow TSU graduates to find work after school and strengthen the community.
“I was like, ‘You know what, I’m gonna open an assisted-living facility and use the money that I make from rapping to open it. Then I’m gonna let my classmates run it,” she added.
