78 Nigerians have been awarded the Federal Government’s Fully Funded Scholarship Award through Russia-Nigeria Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) to study for several Degrees in Russia.
The Nigeria Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) is a division of the Federal Scholarship Board (FSB) primarily charged with the responsibility of implementing scholarship Awards between the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Governments of Countries that have signed Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) with Nigeria.
Several Countries including: Algeria, China, Cuba, Egypt, Hungary, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, Romania, Russia, Serbia, South Korea, Tunisia, Turkey and Ukraine have all signed Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) with Nigeria.

Using the Russia-Nigeria Bilateral Education Agreement, 78 Nigerians have been flown out of Nigeria to Russia to study various courses at Russian Universities.
According to a statement by the Nigerian Embassy in Russia, the students who are part of the 2020/2021 academic year scholarship arrived at Vnukovo International airport on the 6th of December 2021 to commence their study in Russia.
The statement revealed that the scholars are to be trained in different areas of specialization, such as general medicine, aeronautic engineering, chemical technology, nuclear physics and technology, mechatronics and robotics, nanotechnology and microsystems engineering.
The statement also noted that Russia has continually maintained the excellent bilateral relations with the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and it has since during the Soviet era, extended several scholarship opportunities for the training of Nigerian professionals in different fields.
