He stated that the effective reading style that worked for him was utilizing the time between lectures for study sessions. Additionally, he actively engaged in class discussions with his colleagues, which further solidified his understanding of the subject matter.

Muhammed said he adopted a thorough reading approach, where he persisted in studying until he grasped all the necessary points. He stated that achieving the academic excellence did not come easy as he faced some challenges.

One of the most prevalent challenges was the recurrent academic union strikes, which disrupted the academic calendar and extended the duration of his studies. He said the strikes often caused delays in lectures, examinations, and research activities, affecting his overall learning experience and academic progress.

He mentioned that the Boko Haram insurgency and the lack of reliable electricity in the region affected him. The constant threat of violence and insecurity created fear and uncertainty, while unreliable electricity hindered research activities and made studying more challenging.

Muhammed said he was able to balance academic and social activities through effective planning and time management. He held key positions such as Executive Secretary of the Veterinary Students Association and Secretary of the Yobe State Veterinary Student Association.

He recieved numerous awards in recognition of his academic achievements from both the university and distinguished personnel across the country. Muhammad advised student aiming to attain academic excellence to work diligently and maintain a prayerful mindset.
