Brilliant Nigerian Lady emerges best graduating student at UNILAG with 4.85/5.00 first class in Physiology, celebrates success

AFRICA | A brilliant Nigerian lady, Adeniyi Adebola Precious, has emerged as the best graduating student from the Department of Physiology at the University of Lagos after earning a first-class degree with an impressive 4.85 CGPA out of 5.00.

Celebrating her success on LinkedIn, Adebola described her journey as one that moved from deep setbacks to a moment of triumph. She reflected on her past, recalling how her academic path began with significant struggles.

During her A-Levels, she failed every course she took—a painful experience that made her feel like she had reached a dead end. But instead of giving up, Adebola saw it as the beginning of a new and greater journey.

That low point became the fuel for her determination to rise. Throughout her time in university, Adebola stayed focused and embraced every challenge with renewed strength.

She spoke about how the support of mentors and friends played a critical role in her growth, not just as a student but as a person.

These relationships, she stated, helped her understand that true excellence goes beyond high grades—it is also about character, perseverance, and learning from every experience.

Adebola shared that her journey was shaped by a deep sense of purpose and unwavering faith. She learned that nothing meaningful comes without effort, but with God’s guidance, clarity of mind, and the determination to succeed, anything is possible.

Whether in the classroom or leadership roles, she always strived to give her best. Looking back, she gives all the glory to God, who she says has been her anchor through it all.

Now, as she prepares to take the next step in her academic journey, Adebola is excited to explore advanced areas of physiology, especially cardiovascular physiology, with a focus on research and academics.

She is passionate about contributing to scientific knowledge and continuing to grow in the field that has shaped her so profoundly.

To anyone who may be feeling discouraged or defeated, Adebola shared a message of hope. She wants them to know that with the right mindset, faith, and commitment, no obstacle is too great.

Every challenge, she said, is an opportunity to rise, and excellence is a process that requires patience and belief.

Grateful for everyone who stood by her, Adebola is looking forward to the future with joy and optimism as she steps into the next chapter of her academic and professional life.
