AFRICA | A brilliant Ghanaian lady, Carleen Amisum Kabuga, has been named the best graduating student at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) in Ghana.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery, securing an impressive 8 out of 12 awards for her outstanding academic performance.
Carleen’s remarkable achievement was shared by the official handle of the University of Health and Allied Sciences Medical Students’ Association. The post highlighted her exceptional dedication and talent, which earned her several prestigious awards.

She also received the Prof. FN Binka Prize for Best Graduating Female Student in Community Medicine, Prof. Kwabena Antwi Danso Prize for Best Graduating Student in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
In addition, she was awarded the Dr. Klenam Dzefi-Tettey Radiology Prize for Overall Outstanding Graduating MBChB Student, the GMA Prize for Overall Outstanding MBChB Student, and the Dean’s Prize for Overall Outstanding Graduating MBChB Student.
Dr. Carleen’s awards include Prof. JKM Quartey Prize for Best Graduating Student in Surgery, Prof. MG Gyampong Prize for Best Graduating Student in Community Medicine, and Prof. Evelyn Answah Prize for Best Female Student in Community Medicine.
