Brilliant African man bags Medicine degree with 5 distinctions, emerges as overall best student

A brilliant African man named Ernest Chukwuma has won the award of the best graduating student after he bagged a Medical degree with five distinctions.

Ernest obtained his bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (MB, BS) at Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti in Nigeria. He was the overall best medical student of the university’s after he earned five distinctions.

He shared his achievement of bagging the degree on his Linkedin stating that the feat was a dream come true for him. He added that he was overly excited when he recieved a standing ovation and applause from over 5000 individuals during his graduation ceremony.

”I was officially confirmed as the Overall Best Graduating Medical Student at the 6th induction ceremony at ABUAD with five distinctions. It was truly a dream come true for me,” she said.

Ernest mentioned that achieving success required significant sacrifices, unwavering discipline, intense focus, tears, sweat, and grit.

He shared that there were numerous occasions when he felt disheartened or defeated, thinking that the results he obtained did not reflect the effort he had invested. However, ultimately, his perseverance paid off, and he achieved success.

He expressed his gratitude to the university for finding him worthy to receive the award and for shaping him to be the man he is presently. Ernest thanked his parents for their sacrifices and support.


He mentioned that halfway into his journey in medical school, he also bagged a fellowship award for winning the world championship award in science after his research article made a breakthrough in the scientific world. 

Ernest thanked his colleagues and friends for their support stating that he is sure that their set would make one of the finest array of medical doctors in history. He stated that he is grateful to all of his teachers and the university founder, Aare Afe Babalola.
