Brilliant African man sets record as first-ever male to earn first-class in Law, emerges best-graduating student

A brilliant African man named Ifeanyi Agbaeze has made history as the first male to achieve a first-class degree in Law at the University of Uyo, Nigeria. He also won the award of the best graduating student of his department.

Ifeanyi bagged his bachelor’s degree in Law with first-class honors. He made history as the first-ever male student to achieve a first-class grade in Law since the university’s inception.

He also made history as the second-ever First Class Graduate in the 38 years of the University of Uyo’s Faculty of Law existence. Ifeanyi shared his achievement of graduating from the university with honors on Linkedin.

”I am excited to officially share that I’ve graduated from the Prestigious Faculty of Law University of Uyo with a First Class Degree in Law. I made history, becoming the first-ever male First Class graduate and second-ever First Class Graduate in the 38 years of the faculty’s existence,” he said.

Ifeanyi mentioned that he was not always a first-class student, even though he started in a First Class in his first year. He said he started with a cumulative grade point of 4.57  but fell to a 4.29CGPA in his second year,

He said tried to build back up from his second year up to the fourth year. Ifeanyi stated that after years of consistency, he finally clinched it in the first semester of his fifth year which he maintained until graduation.

Ifeanyi stated that his achievement became a reality at the end of the journey. He also said his journey at the university is a story of determination, perseverance, God’s grace, hard work, and the spirit of ‘Can Do and Never Say Never’.


He said he is dedicating his achievements to God who stood by and guided him throughout his 6 years at the University. He also expressed his gratitude to his family, friends, lecturers, colleagues, and well-wishers who believed in, encouraged, challenged, and motivated him, to achieve this great feat.

Ifeanyi stated that he is humbled and honored by his success noting that he will continue to strive for excellence, work hard, and remain committed to achieving his set goals with a daily reminder that his dreams are valid and within reach.
