A brilliant Kid named Kylan Benson has earned 3 million dollars worth of scholarship offers to 18 different universities after graduating from Ramsay High School, United States with an outstanding 4.50 cumulative grade points.
Kylan Benson is a Birmingham native whose excellent academic performance earned him 18 college acceptance out of the 19 he applied for and a total of 3 million dollars in scholarship money.
Out of the 18 school Kylan was accepted into, four are Ivy League schools which include Harvard and Yale Universities. Aside from being a top student in school, He was also a beneficiary of the International Baccalaureate program.
Speaking about how he accomplished the feat, he mentioned that the College Choice Foundation, of which he is a member, helped him in his application process.

“It was a long process, I’m a part of the College Choice Foundation, which is a local nonprofit that helps youth find colleges that meet full financial needs. That’s been a big help for me and they’ve helped me navigate throughout the whole entire college process,” he said.
Kylan added that while he had initially not considered applying to any Ivy League schools, as he did not see it as a significant deal but his perspective shifted after he had the opportunity to visit one.
“Initially I didn’t plan on applying to any Ivy League schools. I just thought that it wasn’t my type of school, but after being able to visit schools like Columbia and visit Harvard I saw that I could definitely see myself at those schools and I would be a great fit,” he said.

Kylan said attending Ramsay High School also gave him the opportunity to accomplish the feat noting that he enrolled in the school because of the rigorous and internationally recognized” International Baccalaureate program.
“Being an IB scholar helped me stand out as a candidate for admission to the schools that I applied to. The IB program stresses being a global-minded citizen, and this has deepened my passion for serving the world,” he explained.
While in High school, Kylan was the head of multiple organizations which helped him build his leadership skills. He was the president of the youth and government club.
Kylan said he loves helping others, which has led him to grow an interest in government so that his passion can soon reach even more of the world.
”I’m not quite sure exactly what I want to do in the future, but I’ve been considering politics, foreign service, or even nonprofit work. Anything that gives me the influence to positively impact others gives me personal fulfillment,” he said.
Kylan said he has made a decision to choose Harvard University where he will be majoring in government studies to further his education.
