Brilliant Lady bags Computer Systems degree with 4.00GPA at US university, wins best student award

A brilliant lady named Blaise Davenport has bagged a degree in Computer Science with a 4.00 grade point average and was awarded the best graduating student of Virginia State University, United States.

Blaise obtained his bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems at Virginia State University, United States. She graduated with the highest grade point in her set earning her the valefdictorian of her set.

Sharing her achievement on Linkedin, Blaise said she is excited to have not only close but open a new chapter in her life. ”Today, I closed one chapter and opened another. With diploma in hand, I’m ready to take on the world and make my mark,” she said.

She highlighted all of her achievements while a student and upon graduation. Blaise graduated with a perfect 4.00/4.00 Summa Cum Laude grade and honors student.

Blaise was the first female student from a Historically Black Colleges and University to study at Oxford University. She participated in a Visiting Student Program, Business, Technology, Innovation, and Inequality/ Performance & Risk Management and she finished with a Grade A.

She stated that she also earned a full-ride acceptance to graduate school at two universities, Carnegie Mellon University and Columbia University in the United States. Blaise said she earned 5 technical certifications and completed over 6 internships.

She said she gained over 20k in pitch competitions, was an Inaugural Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) Meta Scholar Fellow, and was part of the 2019. Trojan Explosion (TX)

Blaise also mentioned that she was active in different extracurricular activities and served in some leadership positions. She was the National Cyber League Captain, Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter President, and won the Outstanding Senior of the Year in 2022 and 2023.

She expressed her gratitude to her Trojan family for helping her shape the woman she is today. Blaise also thanked the university stating that she will forever be proud of the institution.

Blaise said the success would not have been accomplished without God and the unwavering support from family, friends, and mentors. She also thanked everyone who believed in her.
