Brilliant Lady who graduated university with first-class goes on to bag another first-class in Law School

AFRICA | A brilliant Nigerian lady named Christiana Onyinyechi Ufomba has achieved a rare feat after earning a first-class in both university and Law school.

Christiana graduated from Abia State University, Nigeria, with a first-class Bachelor of Law (LLB) in 2020, a feat that earned her the award of best-graduating student in her faculty.

Following up with her graduation, she proceeded to the Nigerian Law School to become a Barrister and Solicitor to the Supreme Court of Nigeria. After the one-year drill at the Nigerian Law School, Christiana aced all her exams and finished with another first-class grade.

In an interview with Edureaders, Christiana revealed that she did not initially set out to graduate with a first-class grade but was determined to do her best and put in the necessary effort.

Christiana revealed that during her undergraduate studies, she found out her grade point was a first class after being selected for a scholarship test by the Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (BOSAN) in her final year. Upon discovering that, she intensified her efforts to maintain my CGPA.

However, she faced challenges that almost discouraged her after a 4-unit course of hers was recorded incorrectly but she persevered.

”I almost gave up at some point especially when my grade in a 4 unit course was recorded incorrectly but I kept pushing and eventually I succeeded,” she said.

To replicate her undergraduate success in law school, Christiana adopted a more intense study. She doubled the time she studied at the university, reading and revising past questions as well as memorizing relevant authorities.

”On days I felt too weak to study, I listened to my recorded notes on my phone as well as flipped through past questions.I was so intentional in Law school. I attended every class and paid undivided attention to all that was said in class,” she said.

Looking ahead, Christiana plans to work in organizations that will help her to develop herskills, handle interesting briefs, and also learn from the best hands.

She also intends to further my education in the near future in World class Universities like the University of Oxford, Harvard Law School, the University of Cambridge, Stanford Law School, New York University
