Brilliant Lady who wrote JAMB three times fights back, bags Finance degree with 4.86/5.00CGPA

A brilliant Nigerian lady named Oluchi Kem-Ajieh who wrote JAMB three times has finally bagged a Finance degree with 4.86 over 5.00 grade point average at the University of Lagos in Nigeria.

Oluchi obtained her bachelors degree in Finance at the University of Lagos, Nigeria with a remarkable first class honors of 4.86 over a 5.00 grade point average. Narrating her story on LinkedIn, She highlighted all of her challenges and what she achieved in the process of getting the degree.

She stated that she graduated high school in 2015 and wrote the University Tertiary Matriculation Examination three times in an attempt to get an admission into the university.

Oluchi said she even rejected two offers of admission because the courses were not her choice of study before she later got admitted to study Finance at the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

While at the university, Oluchi was active with both her academics and extracurricular activities. She finished her Institute of Chattered Accountants of Nigeria while a student in 2019.

She said she led a team of five scholars in the university to win the CFA Global Equity Research challenge in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa in 2022. Oluchi also emerged the regional winner in Africa for the CISI Global Educational Trust Awards 2023.

Oluchi mentioned that she also cofounded the Digital Native and served in numerous managerial capacities in a number of startups while still a student. She stated that her achievement shows that all her waiting period was not in vain.


Oluchi stated that she is ready for the next phase and is looking forward to dominating the investment management sector.
