Brilliant Nigerian Engineer bags masters degree with distinctions at UK university, celebrates achievements

A brilliant Nigerian Engineer named Olisaemeka Iwoba has bagged his master’s degree in Advanced Mechanical Engineering with distinctions at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow in the United Kingdom.

Iwoba obtained his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Bells University of Technology, Ogun Nigeria. He earned the degree with a second-class upper honors grade before he proceeded to the United Kingdom to further his postgraduate studies.

Iwoba shared his achievement on Linkedin stating that he is excited to have completed his master of science program at the University of Strathclyde. ”Excited to share that I have successfully completed MSc in Advanced Mechanical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde with Distinction,” he said.

Upon earning his undergraduate degree, Iwoba was inducted as a Graduate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers to be a practicing engineer in the country.

Iwoba stated that his focus was on achieving sustainable engineering design and his dissertation was on the Advanced Materials Research Laboratory. He added that it reflects his commitment to sustainable engineering.

Iwoba said he hopes to pursue a career in mechanical design and improving machine efficiency. He stated that he is passionate about leveraging his skills in maintenance, design, and project management to drive innovation and sustainability in the engineering field.


In another story, a brilliant young man named Otukoya Timothy has bagged a Mechanical Engineering degree at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria with an outstanding 3.92 over 4.00 cumulative grade point and was awarded the best graduating student.

Timothy bagged his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ibadan. He shared his achievement of being inducted into the National Nigerian Society of Engineers on his Linkedin.

He graduated with first-class honors and won the award of the overall best-graduating student in the university’s Department of Mechanical Engineering. Timothy was not just inducted into the Engineering Society, he was inducted as a graduate member. Read more about Timothy HERE.
