A brilliant Nigerian lady named Modupe Akintan has achieved outstanding success by beating her colleagues with a 4.84/5.00 Grade Point to emerge as the best-graduating student of her department at Afe Babalola University Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria.
Modupe obtained her degree in Computer Engineering at Afe Babalola University Ado-Ekiti,in Nigeria with a remarkable first-class grade, earning her the award of the best graduating student of the university’s computer Engineering department.
She shared on LinkedIn that she recently earned both a degree and a Microsoft certification. Modupe said she achieved this despite juggling her studies with serving in different organisations in her final year.
”I graduated from Afe Babalola University as the BEST GRADUATING STUDENT in the Department of COMPUTER ENGINEERING with a C.G.P.A of 4.84/5.00 and also got inducted as the a Graduate member of the Azure Expert,” she said.

Modupe stated that in her final year, she served in the Student Representative Council ABUAD as a member and the editor in chief, in the Nigerian Universities Engineering Student Association ABUAD as the first co-academic secretary.
She also served in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE ) as the first-ever student branch chairman of the Afe Babalola University.
Modupe said having to maintain her grade point, final year thesis, and make an impact with all these positions made her final year the most stressful period of the academic journey.
She mentioned that she spoke with some of her mentors facing similar challenges during the summer before her final year who warned her about the difficulty ahead. Modupe added that she was scared of failing, and the stress led to multiple breakdowns at school.
Modupe stated that despite the advice from her mentors to reduce her other activities, she is thankful to have decided to challenge herself.
She said along the way, she learned valuable lessons on balancing her administrative duties while maintaining a high-grade point average. Modupe also said she connected with inspiring individuals in some of the organizations.
Modupe expressed her gratitude to her mentors and notable individuals for not only assisting her through this difficult period but also setting a great example for her to follow. She also thanked her friends and family who encouraged her throughout this period.
She added that she is grateful to the women who inspired her by the high places they have reached and the things they have done that constantly encourage her to keep pushing forward.
