A brilliant Nigerian Lady named Lese Esther Oluwayemisi has emerged as the best graduating student of Redeemer’s University, South-West, Nigeria after earning an outstanding 5.00/5.00 grade from the institution.
Lese Esther earned a 100% first-class Bachelor’s degree grade studying Industrial Chemistry. She also set the record as the person with the highest-ever cumulative grade point average (CGPA) in the history of the university.
Celebrating her achievement on LinkedIn, Lese Esther described her success as a testimony to what hard work, diligence and God’s mercies can produce. She expressed how joyous she is to be named the best graduating student of the university.
“The overwhelming joy that was in my heart when I was named the official best graduating student with a perfect 5.00 CGPA (the first of its kind in RUN) by our Vice Chancellor at the 14th convocation ceremony is beyond description. I have finally completed the undergraduate Journey I started in 2015, and proved to the world that delay is not denial,” she wrote on LinkedIn.
Lese Esther who transferred her studies from Vaal University of Technology, South Africa to Redeemer’s University, Nigeria explained she recalled her struggles during her academic study. “Standing on that stage and giving the valedictorian speech, I was reminded of all the anxiety, fear and hope I had when I transferred to RUN,” she said.
“I was so scared that the three years I had spent sitting at home desperately looking for internship had made me lose my academic edge. Simultaneously I also reminded of the initial relentless determination to be a first class graduate of Industrial Chemistry in this second chance, no matter how hard the course was reputed to be in our faculty,” she added.
