A brilliant Nigerian Lady, Aminat Lawal has aced her law school examination with an outstanding first-class and emerged as the overall best-graduating student of the Nigerian Law School.
Aminat obtained her bachelor’s degree in Law at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria with first class before she proceeded to the Nigerian Law School where she was called to bar as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
She graduated from Law school with first-class honors and was the overall best-graduating student in a class of 5300 students. Aminat shared her achievement on Linkedin stating that she was stunned to have won the award.
”Today, I was called to the largest bar in Africa, the Nigerian Bar, winning 12 awards and emerging as the Overall Best Graduating Student in a class of 5,300 students,” she said.

Aminat stated that going into law school, her primary goal was to make a first-class but to achieve the fit which was why she was surprised. She mentioned that the academic journey was challenging.
She said it was filled with long hours of studying, highly intensive coursework, and tight deadlines. Despite all these, Aminat said the experience improved her self-discipline, and time management skills and stretched her abilities beyond her expectations.
Aminat said she is grateful that the end of the journey marks the beginning of her legal career and she is excited for challenges to come, lessons to be learned, and the impact that she will make in the legal profession.
