A brilliant Nigerian lady named Farida Zakariya who was awarded the best-graduating student of Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria has won a full scholarship to study for her master’s at McGill University, Montreal Canada.
Farida Zakariya graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria with a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy. She graduated with first-class honors and was awarded the overall best-graduating student.
Farida also won six different notable awards at her graduation ceremony. She mentioned that she went from not being part of the top 10 in her first year to graduating as the best-graduating student in the university’s faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Farida added that she won 12 awards from 6 out of 6 departments in the faculty. ”On 12th April 2022, I was inducted as a Pharmacist,” Farida wrote on her Twitter.
”Going from not being top 10 in my first year to graduating as the best-graduating student in the faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences with 12 awards from 6 out of 6 departments still feels like a dream,” she added.
Now, Farida has won the prestigious McCall MacBain Scholarship to study for her masters in Canada. She won the full scholarship to study her masters in Experimental Medicine at McGill University, Montreal Canada.

According to the McCall MacBain Scholarship website, Farida is the first-ever graduate of a Nigerian university to receive the scholarship. The body will be sponsoring her full tuition and living expenses.
