A brilliant Nigerian Lady, Esiri Oghenekaro has won a PhD Scholarship to study Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University, New York, United States after an outstanding performance in her undergraduate degree.

Esiri Oghenekaro graduated with a first-class Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Benin, South-South, Nigeria. She earned a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.80 out of a possible 5.
Just two years after her graduation, she won a PhD scholarship to Cornell University in New York despite not having a Master’s degree. Narrating how she achieved the exceptional feat, Esiri Oghenekaro stated that she had always wished to further her education abroad.
“I made a decision this time last year August 2021, that I was going to go abroad for my studies, one year later and I’m here! I’m happy to announce that I have gotten a fully funded PhD offer in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University,” she wrote on LinkedIn.

“I got a fully-funded scholarship which covers tuition, health insurance and living expenses stipends for my time here and I am super grateful to God for the opportunity,” she added.
