A brilliant Nigerian lady named Esther Nwankwo who was awarded a scholarship after she bagged her bachelor’s degree to further her studies in the United Kingdom has finally earned her master’s degree with distinctions at the University of Strathclyde.
Esther obtained a bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a first class at the University of Nigeria, Enugu, and was the best graduating student of her faculty and department.
Her remarkable achievement earned her the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) scholarship to further her postgraduate studies. With the scholarship, Esther enrolled for a masters degree in Finance at the Uiversity of Strathclyde.
The PTDF Scholarship is offered by the Federal Government agency with the mandate of developing indigenous human capacity and petroleum technology, to meet the needs of the oil and gas industry. For more details on how to apply check HERE.

Sharing her achievement on Linkedin, Esther said she bagged her master’s degree with distinction at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow in the United Kingdom. She expressed her gratitude to the Nigerian government for awarding her the scholarship.
She mentioned that before arriving in the United Kingdom, she had heard that the educational system was easy, so she was expecting to have a fun time.
However, unlike the hearsay, it was a different experience. Esther said she was not prepared for the demanding academic expectations, but she is glad to have been able to overcome the challenges.
She stated that she would be dedicating the degree to her parents who dreamt of attending college but did not have the opportunity. Esther became the first female in her family to graduate from university.
She did different menial jobs to sponsor herself through school while she was studying for her bachelor’s degree. Esther said she is also dedicating her degree to fearless girls from humble backgrounds who dared to dream big encouraging them that their dreams are valid.
Moving forward, Esther said she is actively looking for ways to make a significant impact in the field of sustainable investing.
