Joining the United States Army as an immigrant avails you the opportunity to become a permanent resident of the United States of America (USA) and other family benefits.
Abdulaziz Bakare studied Law at the Lagos State University (LASU) between 2008 and 2013, he thereafter Nigerian Law School where he became a barrister and solicitor to the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
On completing his academic jouney in Nigeria, he moved to the United States where he bagged his Master’s Degree from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law studying Cyber Security and National Security Law.
As a Master’s Degree holder in Law, Abdulaziz Bakare joined KPMG USA in 2020 as an Advisory Consultant after which he enrolled to become a Soldier of the United States Army.

Celebrating his achievement, Abdulaziz shared on Linkedin that he is thrilled as he swore an oath to serve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.
“I’m thrilled to share that I have recently concluded my Combat Training and swore an oath to serve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States as I joined the US Army at Fort Jackson, South Carolina,” he wrote on Linkedin.
He expressed that he is excited for the unique opportunities and experiences that the Army provides. He said: “While I’m excited for the unique opportunities and experiences that the Army provides, I’m more proud and honored to serve a country that has given me so much in a short period and be part of something bigger than myself. Looking forward to serving in the Army and combining that with my current commitments at KPMG.”
He thanked his family, friends and colleagues at the United States Army for their support and encouragement.
