A brilliant Nigerian man named Olalekan Alamu has bagged a Finance degree with a first-class grade of 4.85, earning him the award of the overall best-graduating student at the Federal University, Oye Ekiti, Nigeria.
Olalekan obtained his bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance at the Federal University, Oye Ekiti, Nigeria. He graduated with a 4.85 over a possible 5.00 cumulative grade point average.
He was awarded the overall best-graduating student of his set. Olalekan shared his achievement on Linkedin stating that his accomplishment leaves him with immense joy and a feeling of gratitude.
He mentioned that the journey of his academic excellence started when he was awarded the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti ‘Rector’s Award for the best graduating student in the Banking and Finance Department in 2018.
Olalekan added that the academic journey has been one filled with countless sacrifices and challenges, but it has also been a journey that testifies to the power of determination, resilience, and the zeal to never settle for less when there’s the potential to achieve more.
He stated that the journey was filled with years of learning, unlearning, and relearning. While a student, Olalekan served as the Investment Banking Divisional Head, of the Student Finance Society, at the university.
He said he was also part of the team from the university that participated in the 2022 equity research challenge organized by the CFA Institute. Olalekan stated that he interned at Access Bank Plc
Olalekan expressed his gratitude to his family and friends, his supervisor, and everyone who contributed to his academic journey. He thanked them for their endless encouragement and belief in his abilities.
Olalekan mentioned that he eagerly anticipates a future filled with endless possibilities and new adventures.
