Brilliant Nigerian man bags Pharmacy degree with 4.72CGPA, wins 5 awards as best student

A brilliant Nigerian man named Phillip Ogbeye has bagged a Pharmacy degree with a distinction grade at Niger Delta University, Nigeria and won 5 awards as a best-graduating student.

Phillip obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) at Niger Delta University Bayelsa in Nigeria with a distinction grade of 4.72 over a 5.00 cumulative grade point average, an achievement he shared on his Twitter stating that it is a completion of an amazing 5-year journey.

He was awarded the best-graduating student of his department, the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology after he scored a parallel A in the course. Phillip shared that he also earned distinction in 5 out of the 6 major courses he partook in.

The courses includes Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice with 73%,  Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry with 75%, Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology with 75%,  Pharmacology and Toxicology with 76%, and   Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology with 73%.

Phillip also mentioned that he scored a perfect 5.00 grade point average in three semesters and was a recipient of 2 undergraduate scholarships. His outstanding performance also earned him five notable awards.

Aside from winning the award of the Best Graduating Student in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Phillip also won Dr. Ebinyo Nelson’s achievement award and cash prize for becoming the best-graduating student.

He said he won the Pharmaseries Healthcare Foundation Humanitarian Service Award for distinctive membership and valuable contributions to the Pharmaseries Mentorship Group (PMG).

Philip stated that he owes these feats to God, his parents, his amazing mentors, preceptors, lecturers, friends, and family who supported and contributed to the academic journey.

 

 

In another story, a brilliant Nigerian lady named Adejumo Hafsoh has graduated as a Pharmacist from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria, and was awarded six notable awards as the best graduating student.

Adejumo Hafsoh bagged her bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria. She graduated as the best-graduating student in the university’s faculty of pharmacy.

Hafsoh shared her achievement of graduating as a pharmacist on her LinkedIn stating that she was not only inducted as a Pharmacist, but was also awarded the best-graduating student in two of her major courses, and the faculty. Read more about Hafsoh HERE.
