A brilliant Nigerian man named Kenneth Okonkwo has won four separate scholarship offers to study in the United States, the United Kingdom and China.
Kenneth who is a Soil Scientist earned his Bachelor’s degree at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, South-East Nigeria. He had not earned his Master’s degree but his brilliance got him four fully funded scholarships to earn a PhD.
Announcing his exceptional academic feat on LinkedIn, Kenneth wrote that he was awarded the prestigious Chevening Scholarship in the United Kingdom alongside scholarships from the University of Texas and Saint Louis University in Missouri in the United States.
The United Kingdom Chevening Scholarship is a yearly award Masters scholarship award sponsored by the UK government to allow international students to study in the UK. Applications for the scholarship is currently online – details can be read HERE – and it is expected to close by the 14th of November 2022.
Speaking further about the scholarships he won, Kenneth added that he also won the ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents to study in China but decided to accept the scholarship offer at Saint Louis University in Missouri, United States.

‘I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve started my PhD studies in Biological Sciences at Saint Louis University, Missouri, USA,” he added.
He stated that he will be working with the institution “as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Miller Lab at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center which is the biggest Plant Science in the World.”
He thanked everyone that contributed to his journey through support and guidance.
