A brilliant Nigerian woman named Dotun Ayeni has achieved success in the United Kingdom after she bagged a master’s and doctorate degree within seven years.
Dotun obtained her bachelor’s degree in European Studies at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria with a remarkable second-class uppergrade before she moved to the United Kindgom to further her studies.
Upon arriving in the United Kingdom, she obtained a master’s degree in International Human Resource Management. Subsequently, she pursued a PhD in Management, specializing in People and Organizations at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.
She took to Twitter to share her achievement of achieving success in the United Kingdom. Dotun said she moved to Edinburgh Scotland in the United Kingdom with three core purposes.

Dotun stated that she migrated to the UK to pursue a doctorate through an MSc route, to seek a particular type of education for her daughters, and also to prepare herself and her family for globalization.
Seven years after, Dotun is celebrating earning a Master’s degree with Distinction and a PhD with a summa cum laude grade (honors). She also bagged a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (Higher Education).
She added that within those years she has also watched her girls, grow into curious learners, not afraid to voice their opinions and listen respectfully and patiently to those of others.
Dotun stated that the journey was filled with years of sacrifice and investment. She said it was one filled with long nights, countless drafts, and many tears of frustration.
However, the achievement serves as a reminder that with the right support and a determination to succeed, the chances of overcoming obstacles are greater than what one can imagine.
Dotun said that now that she has completed that phase, she is planning to utilize her learnings over the next seven years to assist individuals, organizations, and governments in improving their systems.
She said her goal is to create value and significance for the people she serves, as well as contribute to making the world more sustainable and livable for future generations.
Dotun added that she will be using the next few weeks to catch up on everything she missed, including time with friends and family, seeing the movies, and further exploring the beauty of Scotland.
