A brilliant young boy named Noah Macias emerged as the valedictorian of Sunset High School, Dallas in the United States, and was awarded a full scholarship to study at the university.
Noah followed in the footsteps of his older brother and sister to graduate at the top of his class. He is the third valedictorian from his family at Sunset High School in five years.
“This year, I was like I just need to graduate and be happier and stop worrying about my grades so much. But I definitely did have that voice in the back of my head that was like, ‘Come on. You are like right there.
Noah’s achievement earned him a full scholarship for his undergraduate studies at Stanford University, California in the United States. He mentioned that his older siblings, Elijah, and Sophia’s encouragement helped him to achieve success.

“Do the best you can. If you did get valedictorian, that’s great. That’s a plus. But the primary focus is let’s get out of here. Let’s get to college,” Elijah said. It was never really at the front of my mind to be number one, to be valedictorian. I was just nerdy. I was just a nerd,” Sophia added.
Noah’s mother Andrea Ramirez said she focused on nurturing her kids, supporting and not pushing them. She said she is very proud of their achievement and is sure of a wonderful future for them.
“I made sure that they were able to get to where they needed to go, give them the space, the quiet time. We just supported them. I didn’t do anything for them. That’s the crazy part. I was like, this is all on you,” Andrea said.
Noah said he will study Biology and Mexican American studies at Stanford University, in the United States. He will be getting a jump start on his Stanford experience.
A brilliant girl named Toryana Jackson has broken the 56-year-old record of Henninger High School, New York. as she emerged as the first black valedictorian to graduate with an outstanding 4.00 Grade Point Average.
Toryana Jackson, a Syracuse, New York teen made history as the first-ever black student to graduate with the highest grade point since the inception of Henninger High School in New York. She did not only make history as the first Black valedictorian in her high school’s 56-year history.
Toryana was also the first Black valedictorian in the school district’s 173-year history. While a student, she was very active, participating in cross country and track for all the four years she spent in the school. Read more about Jackson HERE.
