Determined Nigerian Lady fights back to graduate with 4.81 first-class Microbiology degree after she was denied her dream course

A determined Nigerian lady named Chinaza Okezie has fought back to graduate with a first-class Microbiology degree at Adeleke University, Nigeria after she was denied her dream course.

Chinaza obtained her bachelor’s degree in Microbiology at Adeleke University with a first-class grade of 4.81 over a possible 5.00 cumulative grade point average, an achievement she shared on her Linkedin emphasizing the significance of her success.

She stated that she had always wanted to study Pharmacy at the University of Nigeria but she was denied and was admitted into the Department of Microbiology.

But she transferred to Adeleke University due to constant academic strike where she started over and enrolled for a Microbiology degree. Chinaza said making the decision was not easy but along the line, she found her path in the new journey.

Chinaza said the academic journey took four hard but rewarding years, and she is glad to have finally graduated. She said she is elated that her sleepless nights and perseverance finally paid off as she earned the degree with an excellent grade.

She mentioned that during her studies, she faced some challenges including the unfortunate experience of losing her mother in her final year but to her surprise, she had the best result for that year.

She said while she faced challenges, she built courage, resilience, and tolerance. Chinaza expressed her gratitude to her family, lecturers, chapel Pastor, friends, and loved ones adding that it was their support that made their achievement possible.

Chinaza said she will be standing by the words of the former Managing director of Wema Bank which emphasized the formula for empowered living, self-awareness, self-development, and resilience.

She said the managing director encouraged them to shift their mindset from self-doubt to self-belief, recognizing their unique abilities and potential to make a positive impact on the world.

Chinaza stated that as she steps into the new phase, she is confident that she will get the best opportunities. She added that she is looking forward to applying the knowledge and skills she gained towards work that will impact lives and make a huge difference.
