Exceptional 15-year-old boy bags first-class in Mathematics at UK university, sets record as school’s youngest graduate

An exceptional 15-year-old boy named Yasha Asley has bagged a Mathematics degree with first-class honors at the University of Leceister, United Kingdom, setting a record as the institution’s youngest graduate.

Yasha, from Rowley Fields, made history as the youngest-ever student to graduate from the University of Leicester after he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. He bagged the degree ith first-class honors.

He had earlier made history when he topped the A Level in maths at the age of eight. After achieving the exceptional feat, he was fast tracked to the university without completing primary school.

Another amazing thing about Yasha was that he was juggling working as a lecturer while at the same time studying for his bachelor’s at the University of Leceister. “Graduating was very different from anything I’ve done before.I was a bit nervous, a bit excited and a bit happy, but I got a good reaction so that helped,” she said.

Yasha said right from his primary school days he has always wanted to start his university education early adding that it is important to be determined and passionate about what you like. He attributed his success and feat to the support of his father.

“People were curious about me at first, but that settled down and I was just another student which I appreciated and liked. I love absolutely everything about mathematics and I would like to continue studying,” he said.

Yasha’s father, Moussa stated that he is proud of his son’s achievement adding that he had always waited to witness the day as he quit his job as an accountant to focus on his son.


Yasha mentioned that he will be returning to the university to pursue his doctorate in Mathematics adding that he plans to become a research mathematician in the university so that he can continue to enjoy his love of mathematics.
