Exceptional Nigerian man plays Chess match against 10 players at the same time, wins all

An exceptional Nigerian man named Tunde Onakoya played a game of Chess against 10 opponents simultaneously and emerged victorious in every match.

Tunde Onakoya is a Nigerian chess master and a chess coach who was invited as a speaker at the Digital Life Design (DLD) in Germany. He played a Chess match with ten participants of the conference on the second day and won all of them.

He took to Twitter to share hus success stating that the victorious achievement took him two hours with battle of wits. ”On day two of the DLD conference, I played a simultaneous chess match against 10 players at once,” Tunde said.

”After an almost two hour battle of wits ,I managed to win all the games.,” he added. He mentioned that one of the toughest opponents he played against during the match holds a PhD in Mathematical logic.

Tunde added that the opponent is also the Chairman of the United Nations security council and a former Bulgarian foreign minister describing the game he had with him as a very hard game.

Apart from being a chess master, Tunde is also the founder of Chess in Slums Africa, a non profit organization where he trained children from slum mathematics and chess.  He has organized a number of interventions for children across slums in Nigeria.

The children are engaged in a 2 week’s session that seeks to unlock their potential through the game of chess while learning to read, write and acquire basic literacy skills. Tunde learned to play chess at a barber’s shop in a slum in Ikorodu, Lagos where he grew up according to Wikipedia.

Tunde is also a board member of the New York City based non-profit The Gift of Chess. He stated that the Chess exhibition helped to raise enough money to support the education of 100 children in his academy.
