AMERICA | A brilliant young lady named Jakota Walker has achieved remarkable success in the United States.
Jakota’s journey began long before graduation day. In 2022, she became a national sensation after receiving offers from 40 US universities and earning over $500,000 worth of scholarships.
Three years later, she has fulfilled that promise of greatness, graduating with a perfect 4.00 GPA, Summa Cum Laude, and highest honors in Criminal Justice from Fort Valley State University, with a minor in Psychology.

Jakota’s journey into higher education began with an array of excellence. At 18, she was accepted into 40 universities across the United States, a rare feat achieved by only a small number of high-performing students.

Throughout her three-year journey, she committed herself to discipline, countless hours of studying, community involvement, prayer, seeking direction and strength, and perseverance: pushing through early mornings, late nights, and the challenges of being a first-generation college student
Her academic work in Criminal Justice demanded a critical evaluation of law, policy, criminology, psychology, and ethics. Her minor in Psychology strengthened her ability to understand human behavior.
Jakota’s faith and hard work led her to this defining moment, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a perfect 4.00 GPA. As a first-generation college graduate, her achievement represents breaking cycles, honoring sacrifices, and rewriting her family’s story.
“Three years of discipline, prayer, and perseverance have led me to this moment. I am humbled to stand as a graduate with the highest honors, a 4.0 GPA, and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology,” she shared on Instagram.
Jakota expressed deep gratitude to the community that supported her, mentors, family, friends, and the university that shaped her with love and grace. She described her entire experience as a journey written by God, supported by the scripture:
