A brilliant young man, Habeeb Tajudeen, has achieved remarkable academic success after earning both his Master’s degree and PhD from Kangwon National University, graduating with top honors and receiving the Outstanding Researcher Award.
His story is a powerful reminder that with persistence, preparation, and focus, it is possible to move from local beginnings to global academic excellence with fully funded opportunity.
Habeeb's Story and How He Did It
Habeeb began his academic journey in Nigeria at the Kwara State Polytechnic, where he obtained a National Diploma in Agriculture.
He later gained admission into the University of Ilorin, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development in 2017, graduating with a second-class upper.
After his undergraduate studies, Habeeb focused on building his research portfolio, actively participating in in-vivo and in-vitro experiments while applying for graduate opportunities abroad.
His persistence paid off in 2021, when he secured a fully funded Graduate Research Assistantship at Kangwon National University, allowing him to study and work as a researcher.

Habeeb went on to earn a Master’s degree in Animal Nutrition, where he was recognized as an Outstanding Graduate Student.
Driven by excellence, he continued his academic journey at the same university, earning a PhD in Animal Science (Monogastric Nutrition and Metabolism).
By 2025, he graduated and was honored with the Outstanding Researcher Award by the university president, an achievement that crowned his years of dedication and hard work.
During his five-year journey (Master’s to PhD), Habeeb contributed to 40 peer-reviewed publications, including 16 as first or co-first author, and conducted impactful research on nutrition strategies for pigs and poultry, improving feed efficiency, intestinal health, and sustainability.
Also, he presented his research at conferences across South Korea and Europe, served as a reviewer for international academic journals, and mentored and shared knowledge with fellow students and researchers.
Reflecting on his journey, Habeeb described it as one filled with growth, challenges, and opportunities, all made possible through scholarship support.
Habeeb expressed deep gratitude to his supervisor, collaborators, lab mates, and family for their unwavering support throughout his academic journey.
