AFRICA | An exceptional Ghanaian lawyer named Modesta Fosu Ofori has distinguished herself as a scholar and leader, earning seven academic and professional qualifications — and she is still advancing her education.
Her journey reflects sustained excellence, leadership, and multidimensional growth within the legal and corporate space.
Modesta's Story and How She Did It
Modesta’s brilliance was evident early in life. She attended Yaa Asantewaa Girls’ Senior High School, in Ghana where she was an A-student and served as Senior School Prefect, demonstrating both academic and leadership strength.
She later proceeded to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where she earned her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
Following her undergraduate studies, she enrolled at the Ghana School of Law, where she obtained her Barrister-at-Law (BL) qualification and was called to the Bar in 2011.

Beyond her law qualifications, Modesta has earned additional degrees and professional certifications in law, human Resources and leadership and Management.
After being called to the Bar, Modesta began her professional career at Kulendi @ Law, one of Ghana’s respected law firms.
Modesta’s interdisciplinary education reflects her belief in continuous growth and professional evolution.
She is also a member of the Ghana Bar Association, a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management (UK), and an alumna of the Female Future Leadership Programme.
Her competence and leadership quickly propelled her through the ranks. Over time, she served in several high-level roles, including Legal Associate, Board Secretary, General Manager, Compliance, and Director of Administration.
Currently, she serves as the Director of Human Resources at Kulendi @ Law, where she blends legal expertise with strategic organizational leadership.
