She recalled preparing for her United Tertiary Matriculation examination just two weeks after sitting for her school exams but she stayed committed to excellence in both, insisting that anything worth doing was worth doing well.
In 2019, when she gained admission into Ekiti State University to study Law, she saw it as a fresh start. Catherine recorded excellence early earning a 4.9 GPA in her second semester of 100 level.
That moment sparked a new drive in her—she realized that with even more focus and effort, she could achieve her long-standing goal of graduating with a first class.
Catherine stated that the years that followed were filled with intentional hard work, late nights, sacrifices, and a deep sense of purpose. By her 300 level, she had already attained a 4.8 CGPA and was determined to push even higher.
In her final year, she achieved a perfect 5.0 GPA, solidifying her place among the top-performing students in the history of the faculty.
Aside from maintaining her academic excellence, she also earned several prestigious awards in recognition of her brilliance, leadership, and commitment to excellence.
Though this moment of triumph is one of celebration, she reflected on the deeper message of her story: discipline and determination can truly break any limitation.
”Lastly, I will like to reiterate that discipline and determination can take you to that place that you desire, never let circumstances like you roots determine your tomorrow. Today is not a day to talk about my roots but a day to celebrate how I broke free from that limitation,” she said.
Catherine expressed gratitude to his God, his family, and friends for holding her hands and cheering her on till the end.
