AFRICA | A brilliant Nigerian Lady bags first-class degree in Law, celebrates achievement.
A brilliant Nigerian lady named Winnie Eka-Williams, has graduated with first-class honors in Law from Baze University, Abuja, Nigeria.
Celebrating her achievement on LinkedIn, Winnie expressed her gratitude, attributing her success to God’s help.Winnie shared that her passion for academics began right from her first year.
She was known for organizing study groups and leading group presentations, making academics feel effortless. Reflecting on her success, she revealed her guiding principle: “The miracle of passing an exam is in the fact that God has given me a working brain”.

Beyond her academic excellence, Winnie was also actively involved in extracurricular activities. She received two awards from the Law Students Association (LAWSA), Baze University Chapter, for her outstanding service and contributions to the growth of the faculty.
Additionally, she was recognized for her exemplary leadership as the Chamber Head. Winnie expressed her gratitude for her achievements, acknowledging the years of hard work, extensive reading, and research that led her to this moment.
She added that she is now looking forward to continuing her journey through law school, followed by a master’s degree and higher qualifications.
In a message to current and aspiring university students, Winnie advised them not to simply go through university but to let the university experience shape them. She encouraged students to learn as much as possible and to build strong connections:
“Come out of your shell, dare to make mistakes, and learn from them. Try, fail, and try again that’s what being a student is all about! Take advantage of your environment, ask questions, and seek understanding.”
In another story, a young Nigerian man named Abdulrasheed Ijaodola has bagged a master’s degree in Law from Stanford University, United States.
Abdulrasheed Ijaodola obtained his bachelor’s degree in Law from Igbiniedon University, Nigeria with first-class honors before moving on to Nigerian Law School where he also graduated with first-class honors
Ijaodola was also the second best graduating student in his graduating class and was sworn in as a barrister and solicitor of law in Nigeria. He further bagged a master’s in Intellectual Property and Technology law at the same Igbiniedon University, Nigeria. Read more about Ijaodola HERE.
