A brilliant Nigerian lady named Racheal Jayeoba has bagged a Mathematics degree with first class at Babcock University, Southwest Nigeria.
Racheal earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a remarkable first class grade. She took to LinkedIn to share her achievement of earning the degree and setting a record while at it.
She stated that she achieved this feat while holding leadership positions in her third and fourth years. Racheal said initially, she hesitated to run for her department president, as no one in my department had achieved first-class honors while in that role and her goal was to graduate with a first-class.

However, she trusted God and herself to rise to the challenge, adding that she was also driven by her passion to make a positive impact in the association.
Racheal said even though she faced setbacks, including a drop from first class in the following semester which was contrary to her plan because the second semester is always more demanding for executives in the university.
She said the added pressure of starting her project again after her topic was changed was also one of the challenges she faced.
Racheal said despite the obstacles, she calculated the minimum grade point average required to meet her goal of graduating with a first-class. Learning that her grades were still on the path, she pushed forward with the role.
She mentioned that amidst her duties, her project topic changed twice again, just days before mid-exams and a few weeks before final exams but she remained focused.
Highlighting her achievements in her academics and position, Racheal said her departmental events were successful, with the highest attendance ever recorded. She also said a student testified to her influence on her academic growth and she graduated with first-class honors, the only one in the department across four units.
