AFRICA | 22-year-old Nigerian Lady bags Law degree and certificate at the same time, celebrates success.

A 22-year-old Nigerian Lady named Victoria Anorue celebrated a double milestone: earning her Bachelor of Law degree from Afe Babalola University and receiving a professional certificate from the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitration simultaneously.

In a LinkedIn post, Victoria shared that when she began university in 2019, her only goal was to graduate feeling fulfilled, regardless of what challenges she might face.

Admitted into Afe Babalola University (ABUAD) as a law student, Victoria initially had no clear interest in law, low academic confidence, and many uncertainties.

Over time, however, she developed a passion for Intellectual Property (IP) Law. This newfound interest led her to serve the ABUAD Intellectual Property Club, where she ultimately became President in her final year.

Her dedication also saw her moderating the “IP and Fashion” session at the Nigerian Intellectual Property Club’s Maiden Intellectual Property Convention in 2023.

In addition to her Intellectual Property commitments, Victoria served on the ABUAD Law Students’ Society Electoral Commission for four years, striving to make her university experience meaningful not only for herself but for others as well.

Reflecting on her time at ABUAD, Victoria expressed immense gratitude to her support system. She thanked her friends, family, mentors, lecturers, and colleagues, crediting them for holding her up during difficult moments.
