For her Master’s degree, Omolola specialized in Cell Biology and Genetics, conducting an extensive research project in human population and statistical genetics.
Her study was a retrospective analysis involving over 60,000 individuals in Ibadan, examining the human secondary sex ratio, the incidence of multiple births, and perinatal mortality over an 11-year period.
Prior to this project, Omolola was involved in a research initiative on genetics, systemic, and reproductive toxicology. Unfortunately, that project was discontinued due to unforeseen circumstances.
Omolola expressed her heartfelt gratitude to her academic mentor, Professor Adekunle Bakare, a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Science (FAS). She acknowledged his immense guidance and the pivotal role he played in her academic journey.
Omolola also extended her appreciation to everyone who contributed and supported her with their resources during her research.
