A young Nigerian lady, Nana Ibrahim, has achieved an exceptional academic milestone by graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from the University of Benin, Nigeria.
Her outstanding performance earned her the title of the overall best-graduating student in the university’s BDS class of 2022.
Celebrating her achievement on Twitter, Nana expressed pride in her success and joy at completing her examinations. She wrote, “I satisfied my examiners for the very last time. Re-introducing: DR NANA IBRAHIM (BDS BENIN).”

Nana’s academic excellence included distinctions in two major courses namely Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontics, Paediatric Dentistry, and Community Dentistry.
In addition to being the overall best-graduating student, Nana also won awards as the best student in several individual courses, including Oral Medicine and Pathology, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Conservative Dentistry, Paedodontics, Community Dentistry, and Orthodontics.
In a similar story, a brilliant Nigerian lady named Esther Bassey graduated as a Dentist from the University of Calabar, Nigeria, and was awarded the best-graduating student of her graduating set.
Esther Bassey bagged her bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery(BDS ) from the College of Medicine, University of Calaba with 4 distinctions in some of her major courses. She was awarded the best graduating student in her faculty.
