A brilliant Nigerian Lady named Olayemi Amusile has been awarded the prestigious Commonwealth Shared Scholarship to pursue her master’s degree at the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom.
The highly competitive scholarship will fully cover her tuition fees, travel expenses, and provide her with a monthly living stipend of £1,652. Olayemi shared her excitement on Twitter, expressing gratitude to her sponsors for this life-changing opportunity.
“I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been awarded the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship to pursue an MSc in Digital Health at the University of Bristol, funded by @FCDOGovUK and @BristolUni. Grateful to God, the funders, and everyone who supported me along the way,” she wrote.

The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship is a fully funded opportunity for students from developing countries to study in the UK, covering all costs associated with earning a master’s degree.

Olayemi plans to use her master’s degree in Digital Health to contribute significantly to healthcare in Nigeria, particularly in underserved communities. She aims to develop solutions that will improve healthcare access, drive the integration of technology in healthcare, and enhance patient care outcomes.
“I’m excited about the challenges and opportunities ahead. With this degree, I plan to work on policies and projects that will positively impact healthcare delivery in Nigeria,” she said.
She added that she will contribute to digital health policy, drive tech integration in healthcare, and work on projects that enhance patient care and outcomes. O
Olayemi earned her bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Delta State University, Nigeria, where she graduated with a second-class upper grade. Her academic achievements and dedication to improving healthcare made her an ideal candidate for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship.
As she looks ahead to her studies in the United Kingdom, Olayemi remains focused on her goal of using digital health solutions to transform Nigeria’s healthcare system for the better.
