A brilliant Nigerian man named Richard Solomon has bagged a first-class degree in Law at Osun State University, Nigeria.

Richard obtained his Bachelor of Law degree at Osun State University in Nigeria with a first-class honors, an achievement he shared on his LinkedIn. He said the accomplishment is a testament to the dedication, perseverance, and relentless pursuit of excellence of the academic journey.

Starting the academic journey, Richard said earning a first class degree was not a dream he foresaw as he came from a family where academic excellence was not common and a second class upper grade was considered a significant grade.

However, the journey took an unexpected turn when he secured a 4.63 cumulative grade point in the first semester of his first year. Richard said the unexpected success ignited a fire within him, and it pushed him towards greater academic heights.

Richard said that balancing my academic pursuits with leadership roles was challenging. However, despite the demands of his studies, I actively sought opportunities to contribute to his community and develop his leadership skills. 

He said he was involved in various student organizations and initiatives which gave him 30 leadership roles and he also had the opportunity to work with the United Nations, European Union, ECOWAS, and TheirWorld. 

Additionally, Richard also won 22 awards of excellence, The awards include West Africa’s Most Innovative Law Student in 2022, Top 20 Exceptional Law Students in Africa, and Nigeria’s Most Promising Law Student in 2021.

Richard was also awarded the Most Reputable Law Student in Southwest, and Most Influential Law Student in his university and received the Vice Chancellor’s commendations thrice.

He was also actively involved in international initiatives, serving as a Global Youth Ambassador and an ECOWAS Youth Ambassador. Richard said these roles allowed him to contribute to global issues and develop a broader perspective on the world.

He mentioned that in his final year, he started his Fashion brand making him balance his career as a lawyer, leader, and businessman. Richard said the accomplishment demonstrates God’s love and his ability to excel in a rigorous academic environment.

Richard said he hopes his story inspires others to never give up on their dreams, no matter how challenging the journey may seem. He said they should remember, that it’s always 1% chance, 99% Faith, and with perseverance, dedication, and a belief in oneself, anything is possible.
