A young Nigerian man named Akanbi Rahmon has achieved remarkable success in the United Kingdom by earning a master’s degree in Control and Instrumentation with distinction from the University of Derby, England.
Sharing his achievement on LinkedIn, Akanbi reflected on another proud moment from his academic journey—graduating with a first-class Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Engineering from Ladoke Akintola University of Science and Technology (LAUTECH), where he was recognized as the Best Student in his department.
These milestones, he said, represent years of perseverance, dedication, and growth, for which he is truly grateful.

Adding to his academic success, Akanbi secured a full-time position as a Biomedical Engineer at KTP Associate.
In this role, he will contribute to developing a wearable device capable of non-invasively measuring blood glucose and cholesterol levels. While the journey has been both challenging and rewarding, Akanbi expressed excitement about the opportunities that lie ahead.
He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to his wife, who has been his unwavering support system from his undergraduate days through his master’s program
He thanked his parents for their prayers and encouragement and acknowledged the support of his younger siblings.
To those striving toward their dreams, Akanbi shared words of encouragement. “Resilience and determination pay off. The journey may not be easy, but with perseverance and the right support, you can achieve great things,” he said.
