A brilliant Nigerian man named Adebowale Raphael Omolasoye has emerged as the best graduating student of the Faculty of Law at Adekunle Ajasin University, Nigeria, earning a first-class degree with an impressive 4.68 cumulative grade point average (CGPA).
Sharing his inspiring journey on LinkedIn, Adebowale attributed his success to discipline, faith, and an unwavering drive for excellence. His academic journey began in 2018 when he pursued his dream of studying law.
Securing admission to the Faculty of Law with a remarkable 277 score in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), he embarked on a path of academic distinction.

Reflecting on his early days at the university, Adebowale described how achieving an almost perfect GPA in his first semester motivated him to pursue even greater heights.
Relying on his faith and inspired by the achievements of other scholars, he remained relentless in his quest for excellence. Adebowale graduated as the Best Graduating Student in the Faculty of Law for the 2023/2024 academic year.
His outstanding performance earned him numerous prestigious awards, including the Faculty Prize for the Best Graduating Student in Law.
He also received the Oyesanmi F. Alonge Award of Excellence for the highest grade point in the Faculty of Law, Hon. Justice Ogunwumiju Prize for the Best Graduating Student, Abiola Ojo Prize for Excellence in Constitutional Law.
A testament to his dedication, Adebowale maintained first-class GPAs across all 10 semesters, excelling in 64 courses with 44 “A” grades and 20 “B” grades.
Beyond academics, Adebowale embraced leadership roles, demonstrating his commitment to personal growth and community impact. He served in various capacities, including Managing Partner, Equity Private Chamber, AAUA, and Attorney-General, Kayode Eso Public Chamber, AAUA.
He also served as the Head of Research, at Kayode Eso Public Chamber, AAUA, and General Secretary, Intellectual Property Law Club, AAUA.
Through these roles, he not only honed his leadership skills but also positively influenced his peers, fostering academic excellence and professional development within his community.
Adebowale credits his achievements to the grace of God, which he believes has been instrumental in his success. “This milestone is a step towards the realization of my dream,” he shared, expressing gratitude and optimism for the future.
