Study-In-Australia: 2022 Western Sydney University Scholarships for International Students

The 2022 Western Sydney University Scholarships are currently open for interested domestic and international students.

The Western Sydney University Scholarships will waive the full tuition fees for international students and will also offer them an annual stipend of $30,000 to support the research, study and accommodation costs.

Western Sydney University supports higher degree research candidates with a range of scholarship opportunities. Research scholarships are released periodically and each type of scholarship has specific application dates, eligibility criteria and conditions.

The information below outlines the requirements for our scholarship releases. You are invited to submit an application for any scholarship where you meet the eligibility criteria and the application period is currently open.

Scholarship Requirements:

To be considered for the scholarship, you must:

  • meet the requirements of the programme you are applying for
  • submit application by the due date
  • be able to commence your program on the date approved
  • have a Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
  • meet the English language requirements

Scholarship Duration and Reward

  • Scholarships include a stipend of $30,000(AUD) per annum for three (3) years.

  • For domestic students, tuition fees are covered by the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP).

  • For international students, a tuition fee waiver will be awarded.

  • Applications received by:

    • 11.59pm (AEST), Sunday, 03 July 2022

    will be assessed for scholarships to commence:

    • Monday, 19 September 2022 (Quarter 4 session)

    Outcomes will be advised by:

    • 5.00pm (AEST), Wednesday, 31 August 2022
  • Applications received by:

    • 11.59pm (AEST), Sunday, 28 August 2022

    will be assessed for scholarships to commence:

    • Monday, 09 January 2023 (Quarter 1 session)

    Outcomes will be advised by:

    • 5.00pm (AEST), Monday, 03 October 2022

Required Documents

To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;

  • Certified copies of all tertiary graduation certificates and academic transcripts for degrees completed outside of Western Sydney University.
  • Certified evidence of citizenship status (e.g. passport, birth certificate, citizenship papers, etc.) or certified evidence of residency status (for Australian permanent residents only).
  • Evidence of English language proficiency for applicants who completed their previous qualifications outside of Australia.
  • letter of support from your proposed supervisor.
  • research proposal that clearly identifies your area of research interest and provides a project title and project description.
  • Evidence of relevant employment or experience directly related to research training (if applicable).
  • All copies of official documents must be certified according to Western Sydney University requirements.
