Six distinct research areas are available at Yenching Academy to make it simpler for experts to select one. These fields of study include law and society, philosophy and religion, politics and international relations, economics and governance, history and archeology, law and society, and literature and culture.

Scholarship Requirements:
To be considered for the Scholarship, you must:
- Be an international students
- Possess minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in any field
- Or currently enrolled in a degree program awarded no later than August 31, 2023
- Have an outstanding academic record
- Have strong interest in interdisciplinary study of China
- Have a record of extracurricular achievement, community engagement, social responsibility, and leadership potential
- English proficiency

Required Documents
To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;
- Application Form (to be completed online)
- Curriculum Vitae
- Personal statement of 750 words or less
- Statement of Research Interest (maximum 1500 words, excluding citations)
Two letters of recommendation
- Official transcripts
- Diploma or Certificate of Enrollment
English requirements and minimum scores:
○ IELTS (Academic): Overall 7.0
○ TOEFL (iBT): Overall 100
○ Cambridge English Scale (Advanced): Overall 185
○ CET 6: Overall 600
○ TEM 4: Pass level of “良好” or above
Method of Application
Candidates may apply through Yenching Academy’s online application portal. Each applicant will create an account on the Yenching Academy admissions portal and submit the required materials.
