Study-In-Netherlands: 2023 IHE Delft MENA And Horn Of Africa, Sahel, & SIDS Scholarships for African Students

IHE Delft MENA And Horn Of Africa, Sahel, & SIDS Scholarships is created as the framework of capacity building for water professionals from a certain number of regions/countries.

The scholarship includes the total cost of the MSc Programme in Water and Sustainable Development: Tuition fee, insurance, international travel cost and an allowance of EURO 1,115 per month for the cost of living and accommodation during the complete study period.

Scholarship Details:

IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, formerly known as UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education is the largest international graduate water education facility in the world and is based in Delft, Netherlands.

Delft is a world renowned knowledge centre on water infrastructure, technology and sciences, and attracts high-level students and scientists from around the globe. IHE Delft cooperates with Delft, the water knowledge city, and water related institutes based in Delft.

Scholarship Requirements:

Nationals from the following countries are eligible for this scholarship: 

  • MENA and Horn of Africa:
    Algeria, Burundi, Djibouti, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Palestine, Rwanda, Sudan, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Yemen
  • Sahel:
    Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali, Niger, Senegal
  • Small Island Development States:
    Belize, Cabo Verde, Comoros, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Fiji, Grenada, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Kiribati, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Federated State of Micronesia, Montserrat, Nauru, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent & the Grenadines, Samoa, Sao Tome & Principe, Solomon Islands, Suriname, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu.

Eligibility criteria:

Scholarship Duration and Reward

  • Priority to female candidates
  • Strong motivation (you have to answer 5 motivation questions in your online application)

Method of Application

You do not have to complete a separate application form. If you are a national from one of the eligible countries, you will automatically be considered for the scholarship after you have applied for admission and after you have received your academic admission letter.

If you are from one of these countries and interested in studying at IHE Delft, we advise you to apply for admission as soon as possible. We furthermore advise you to brush up your English and, if required, timely sign up for an English language test, as this is a requirement* for final admission and scholarship eligibility. If no sufficient English test results are received before 15 May 2023, you will not be eligible for the scholarship.

Deadlines:

  • 15 May 2023: Deadline of application for admission and scholarship
  • 1 July 2023: Outcome scholarship selection
