A determined 64-year-old man, Sir Gwamna, has achieved his lifelong dream of becoming a medical doctor after earning his degree in Medicine and Surgery from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto.

His journey is a powerful story of resilience, persistence, and unwavering determination.

Sir Gwamna's Story and How He Did It

Before pursuing medicine, Sir Gwamna had already built a career in healthcare. He earned his first degree in Nursing from the same university and went on to gain over 15 years of professional experience as a nurse.

Despite his accomplishments, he felt a deeper calling—to become a medical doctor.

Refusing to ignore that dream, he made the bold decision to return to school. In 2019, he enrolled in the MBBS program at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, beginning a new chapter in his life at an age when many are already retired.

The journey was far from easy. Over the course of six years, he faced numerous academic and personal challenges. At one point, he reportedly repeated his final year (600 level) three times. However, he refused to give up.
