This young lady graduated as a Medical Doctor, fulfills her childhood dream

A determined young woman, Dr. Vics, has fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a medical doctor after earning her medical degree from the University of Illinois in the United States.

Her journey to this milestone was far from easy. It was marked by years of persistence, setbacks, and repeated attempts, but she persevered through it and never gave up.

Vics' Story and How She Did It

Dr. Vics’ path to medicine came with different challenges. Before finally gaining admission into medical school, she completed three post-baccalaureate programs, after which she enrolled in university and earned a Bachelor of Science.

Then, she proceeded to obtain a Master of Public Health degree. She also took the MCAT five times, applied to medical school in three different cycles, attended seven interviews, and was placed on three waitlists before eventually receiving three acceptance offers.

Even after entering medical school, the challenges continued. While applying for residency, she submitted applications to 17 programs without THE United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 2 score, a move that could have limited her chances.

Despite this, she secured five interviews and ultimately matched into her desired program, beginning her journey as a Family Medicine physician at the University of Illinosis.
